The Diversity Award is a project originating in France. This is the "diversity" management standard for recruitment and HR, referring to 7 areas of discrimination.
It focuses on employment policies and practices in private and public sector organisations.
The award has already been awarded to several hundred organizations in France, including the Ministry of Finance, and many well-known brands such as Alcatel, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, Eurosport, France Televisions, L'Oreal and many others.
The diversity award process is a process similar to that of management systems, except that the certificate is issued for four years and the surveillance audit only takes place after two years. So the organization only undergoes an audit twice in a four year cycle.
The aim of this project is not only to combat discrimination, but also to promote good practices for diversity management and to increase the participation of socially excluded groups in employment.
The "Diversity Awards" standard was developed by AFNOR, in collaboration with the French Government. We strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with its content and perhaps take the first steps to take the systemic approach to managing aspects of equality, discrimination and diversity in your organizations.
